GIRLS UNIFORM

Nursery, Preparatory, Pre-Primary (plus jazz)
Pink short-sleeved cotton lycra leotard.
Pink spotted voile skirt.
Pink socks (tights are not permitted).
Pink satin ballet shoes with elastic (leather shoes are not permitted).
Pink crossover cardigan (optional).

Hair in a bun or other ballet style.

Primary Ballet (plus jazz)
Pink short-sleeved cotton lycra leotard.
Pink elastic belt.
Pink socks (tights are not permitted).
Pink satin ballet shoes with elastic (leather shoes are not permitted).
Pink crossover cardigan (optional).

Hair in a bun or other ballet style.

(Skirts are no longer required for Primary ballet and jazz.)

Grade 1 & 2 Ballet (plus jazz)
Plum short-sleeved cotton lycra leotard. (ISTD plum colour)
Pink socks (tights are not permitted).
Pink satin ballet shoes with elastic (leather shoes are not permitted).
White elastic belt.
Black canvas character shoes.
Black circular character skirt, with three rows of ribbon.
Pink crossover cardigan (optional).

Grade 3 & 4 Ballet (plus jazz)
Plum short-sleeved cotton lycra leotard. (ISTD plum colour)
Pink convertible tights.
Pink satin ballet shoes with elastic (leather shoes are not permitted).
White elastic belt.
Black canvas character shoes.
Black circular character skirt, with three rows of ribbon.
Pink crossover cardigan (optional).

Hair in a bun or other ballet style.

White elastic belts are compulsory for all ballet classes from Grade 1 upwards. Children in Primary are now wearing pink elastic belts.

Grade 5, Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced 1&2 Ballet
A plum, navy blue or black cotton lycra leotard in any suitable style.
D Coaching may wear a suitable leotard in any colour.
White elastic belt (compulsory).
Pink convertible tights.
Pink ballet shoes in satin, leather or canvas with elastic.
Pink satin soft-blocks are required from Intermediate onwards.
Pointe shoes are to be acquired only at the discretion of the teacher, and must be fitted and purchased from Bob Martin.
Experienced Seniors will be expected to purchase their own pointe shoes.
Hair in a bun or other ballet style.

BBO black leotard to be worn for IF, Inter and Advanced 1 exams.

Tap, Modern, Jazz Classes
Normal ballet leotards or black cotton lycra leotard in any suitable style (white elastic belts not required).
Convertible tights. (Jazz pants are not permitted for modern classes).
Black cotton lycra jazz pants for tap & jazz classes.
Suitable dancewear for Junior, Intermediate and Senior Jazz, (not outdoor clothing).
Crossover cardigans (optional).

Tap Shoes
White key-hole style tap shoes for Primary.
Black key-hole style tap shoes for Grade 1 and above.
We advise that first tap shoes are canvas for ease of wear.
Oxford style shoes to be worn by seniors only and at teachers discretion.

BOYS UNIFORM
